Founded by Leo Miranda, a retired Senior Executive and fish and wildlife manager with decades of expertise in sustainable agriculture, land management, and plant propagation, and his wife Jessica Soto, a microbiologist with over 30 years in regulatory compliance and skills in soil health, herbalism, composting, and food safety. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, both Leo and Jessica earned their undergraduate degrees in biology from the University of Puerto Rico, laying the foundation for their lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship and scientific innovation. Since 2014, Leo and Jessica have poured their combined passions into Ochillee Farm in Chattahoochee County, Georgia—a certified Tree Farm that produces wood and fiber for the forestry industry. We bring genuine passion and hands-on homesteading experience to everything we do, blending our Puerto Rican heritage, professional expertise, and love for the land to create a legacy of sustainability and resilience.
