About Us

 Founded by Leo Miranda, a retired Senior Executive and fish and wildlife manager with decades of expertise in sustainable agriculture, land management, and plant propagation, and his wife Jessica Soto, a microbiologist with over 30 years in regulatory compliance and skills in soil health, herbalism, composting, and food safety. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, both Leo and Jessica earned their undergraduate degrees in biology from the University of Puerto Rico, laying the foundation for their lifelong commitment to environmental stewardship and scientific innovation.

Leo's deep roots in Puerto Rico's agricultural heritage include extensive experience in coffee farming, where he collaborated with local farmers to manage and enhance their properties for long-term sustainability. This hands-on work honed his ability to balance productivity with ecological preservation, skills he now applies to broader land management practices.

Jessica has channeled her microbiology expertise into the pharmaceutical industry since graduating from the University of Puerto Rico. Her career spans roles with several major companies across Puerto Rico, the mid-Atlantic region, and the Southeast US, where she ensured rigorous compliance standards while advancing knowledge in soil health and food safety.

Since 2014, Leo and Jessica have poured their combined passions into Ochillee Farm in Chattahoochee County, Georgia—a certified Tree Farm that produces wood and fiber for the forestry industry. On this thriving homestead, they cultivate most of their own food through a diverse food garden and food forest, embracing self-sufficiency and regenerative practices. As avid outdoor enthusiasts, they supplement their diets with wild game from sustainable hunting on their land, prioritizing healthy, natural, and nutritious sources of protein.
